Children affect every aspect of life, from the day-to-day things, to long-term goals and ambitions, and as desperately as we hang onto the belief that we can travel and holiday just as we did pre-children, our criteria for breaks away completely change.
My husband and I have two wonderful children, and we have taken them abroad many times (my son was born in Switzerland), and we have quickly realized that when it comes to holidays – if the kids are happy, then so are we.
Every time we go away we seem to meet people who have struggled to find exactly what they are looking for in a holiday. Last year, while on a short Mediterranean cruise, we started chatting to a couple with a three month old baby. The mother said she didn’t think the facilities on the boat were suited for a young family with a baby, and wished someone would have told her what to expect.
At Holidaymummy, we are here to give the advice and guidance that parents need. Which is while all of our reviews are written by parents, for parents.
Ever wondered what the changing facilities are like at a hotel swimming-pool? Or what the kid’s supper service is like? Or whether the crèche workers are really any good? Holidaymummy will try to answer this all for you – and more.
So, Happy Holidaying!
